Meet Jenn Caputi
Jenn was born and raised in North Providence, RI, where she grew up with her identical twin sister, Stacey, and younger sister, Francesca. She is a proud daughter to her loving parents, Saverio and Sylvia. Jenn’s fondest memories growing up have always been the time she spent with her family and friends: family dinners, holiday celebrations, and activities that kept their family bonded.
Jenn graduated from North Providence High School in 1997. During high school, she participated in many extracurricular activities such as track and field, basketball, fastpitch softball, and drama. In her senior year, Jenn was recognized as an All-State fastpitch softball player as a left-handed catcher.
She continued her education at Johnson and Wales University and graduated with a BA in International Business Management in 2001. While at JWU, she was able to study abroad in Sweden for a semester and worked as a summer intern at Textron in London. She continued to Roger Williams Law School, in Bristol, where she graduated in 2004 with a Juris doctorate. This is where she met her husband, Nicholas Mancini.
Jenn always knew she wanted to be an attorney because she loves helping people, especially during important and sensitive times in their lives. She is licensed to practice law in RI, MA & CT, as well as in the Rhode Island U.S. District Court, and has been operating a small law firm since 2004.
Jenn and her husband moved into their first home together in Cranston when they got married in 2007. They had their son, Nicholas, in 2011, and their daughter, Charlotte, in 2012. Since having her children, Jenn has been volunteering at her children’s schools as a term treasurer of PTO, participating on PTO committees, and coaching both school and Cranston city recreational teams. She has also participated in the Big Sisters of Rhode Island organization.
Jenn’s most important focus is the time dedicated to raising her children with her husband. Thankful and blessed for her own upbringing, which shaped her into the woman she is today, she strives to pass on to her children the same family traditions and old-fashioned values instilled in her: hard work, perseverance, respect, and self-sacrifice. Although she is not averse to ordering DoorDash in a pinch during their busy lives, she still prefers sitting at a crowded table for Italian Sunday dinner, when the smell of her homemade gravy and lively conversation fills the air. Jenn loves being a mom and having weekends of family time, kids sports and activities to attend and being part of a community.
Jenn balances her family time with operating and managing her law firm. Caputi Law is a successful law practice that focuses on real estate settlement, closing, and title services as well as estate planning. Her law firm has been rooted in Cranston since 2016. Jenn is proud and happy to be able to assist first-time home buyers, sellers, investors and repeat clients. Jenn brings her family values to her law firm, and her team has worked so many years together that they have become extended family.
Jenn also has a sole proprietorship, Caputi Real Estate Education, an accredited RI Business Regulations school where she has taught pre-licensing to salespersons, and primarily teaches continuing education to real estate agents. She has also taught real estate as an adjunct professor at JWU for a semester. In 2016, Jenn and her sister owned a fitness studio, called Jounce Fitness, in Johnston and Cranston. They sold the business in 2018, and Jenn continued to instruct classes until the business closed.
Jenn is happy to pay it forward by donating to many local charities, sponsoring local teams by donating and coaching youth sports. One of the major ways she gives back through her business is her continued support to the Tomorrow Fund, a nonprofit organization that assists families with financial support for children being treated for cancer. Her firm has band-aid drives for the children, participates and sponsors the annual Tomorrow Fund walkathon, and happily donates a portion of every closing to the organization.
Jenn also supports military veterans and their families through the Tunnels to Towers (T2T) organization, which provides money and other forms of housing assistance to America’s veteran heroes, for whom Jenn and her family hold the highest regard.
In her spare time, Jenn loves to read about American history, but she always enjoys a great Kristin Hannah novel. She also focuses on keeping her mind and body healthy by going to the gym regularly. Jenn and her family are parishioners at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Cranston.
Jenn’s love for her family, God, and the United States has led her to the path of civic service. We live in a time where it is important to live courageously, not fearfully, and to speak up rather than be silent. Her goal is to be the voice for her community and put forth ways to achieve a greater good for the people of this City and State.
